Our Gaia Crystal Therapy experience is one of a kind so we sit down with Amy Harper, Spa Training and Development Manager, as she talks us through the treatment including the benefits and background into this truly unique therapy.

What is the Gaia Crystal Ritual?
The ultimate goal of crystal healing is to bring the whole body back to a state of pure unconditional love. This treatment is very personalized using crystals to douse and discover which chakras are blocked. It includes a full body, face and scalp massage, crystal placement, aftercare, and a crystal prescription. All Gaia rituals start with a welcome foot ritual and consultation and are followed with a Gaia inspired tea.

Where does the concept come from?
Crystals have been used for over 6,000 years. They are used to absorb, focus, direct and diffuse our energy fields to enable an out of balance body to find its natural energetic rhythm once again. We have designed our own unique treatment using the appropriate crystals, they are placed on and around the body, in this treatment we concentrate on the seven main chakras. To give you a treatment full of intention and integrity we use our own natural wellness brand Gaia Skincare inspired by the ancient Greek goddess otherwise know as mother nature.

What is the therapy supposed to do?
If you know what effect each type of crystal has according to its colour, shape and mineral content, then you can make use of them to initiate a specific effect on the energy balance of chakras, meridians, energy, organs and emotions. Crystal therapy will work on physical ailments from headaches to foot pain as well as emotional wellness to boost confidence, self-expression and ease stress.

Is there anything you do to enhance the effectiveness of the treatment?
Every crystal therapy treatment starts with a foot ritual and meditation with the guest. Our naturally powerful Gaia Skincare products boost the treatment benefits, leaving you either Awakened, Balanced or Calmed Our therapist’s receive specialised advanced training on crystal therapy and work with their own personally chosen crystal set.

Is there anything you recommend clients to do pre or post-treatment to get the most out of the therapy?
Guests don’t have to do anything prior the treatment, however we always recommend using the facilities or having a quiet moment to ensure you have switched off your mind from the outside world. We offer Personalised crystal home-care after every treatment, this includes advice for health and diet to heal unbalanced chakras, as well as a crystal prescription and one to take home.

Is there anyone you particularly recommend the treatment for?
This treatment is fantastic for all, particularly those who have a regular massage treatments and want an advanced ritual treatment. Crystal therapy has many benefits, we ask those coming for the treatment to have an open mind and trust their own intuition. You will leave feeling rooted, relaxed and cared for as well as taking away ideas for your own well-being.

Anyone can enjoy Gaia Crystal Therapy, if you are undergoing any medical treatments we just ask you to let us know so we can accommodate you and ensure you have the best experience possible. The massage section can be adapted as needed.
