Waterhaul
Based in Cornwall, WaterHaul are an ocean conscious eyewear brand. You’ll each receive a pair of the stylish sunglasses, named after Cornish coves, bays and headlands when you arrive in your room on a Coastal Summer Break stay.

Made of ghost gear, which refers to lost or discarded fishing gear, the local company has created an interesting way to clear this pollutant from Cornwall’s shores and make it into a useful product. Gathering the ghost gear is the first job, which can sometimes wash up as huge nets taking a team of people to drag it up to the shoreline. Waterhaul then separate this by polymer type through a mechanical process turning the ghost gear into plastic pellets. This 100% recycled material is then used in an injection mould to create their iconic sunglasses giving new value to the plastic waste.
